Over the weekend, the internet connection we’ve been “borrowing” for over a year was password protected.
Going even one day without (yesterday), I realized I’ve been spending way too much time on here and as much as I like blog reading/e-mailing, it still is a sort of stressor in a way I can’t exactly define… like I must have my e-mail box cleaned out or just finish reading those last couple posts on my blogroll.
And yeah, I’m too frugal to pay for an internet connection. The way I figure it, both Nathan and I sit at computers most of the day for our jobs, and can get any necessary internet-required tasks done then.
The reason I started this blog in the first place was so I’d have something to do while I was bored at work, I rarely even turned on the computer when I got home, I was already so tired of staring at a screen all day!
I would’ve missed having internet a few weeks ago when it was still cold and I wasn’t going out much, but now the weather is great and I only have a week left of maternity leave (yikes). So, I’m on hiatus until I’m back in my corporate cubicle (but only 3 days a week – yay for working part time!)

You’re a brave woman!! In many ways, the internet is my biggest time suck. It brings a lot to my life some days, but most of the time, it’s primarily entertainment.
I’m so glad you get to work part-time!! Sometimes all you have to do is ask, at least that’s been my experience–I mean, sometimes the answer is no, but other times it’s a pleasant surprise.
Now that we’re on the road we dig a wicked-fast open internet connection. It’s nice to carry one along with us, but would totally suck if one that we were “borrowing” suddenly grew a password. Hope to see you back soon.
Hey lady. 😉 Things here are good. For whatever reason, the link to your 3 month post sends me to a “Not found” page. I wanna see photos of that princess. =D
Ugh, yeah, I attempted to put up some pics with my limited internet connection, and after I’d painstakingly uploaded them, it all got erased. And now my work has blocked all blogs/personal e-mail so no fun there either…. I’ll figure out this internet thing eventually =(.
i hope this doesn’t mean we won’t be hearing from you again.
thanks so much for sharing with us especially your great recipes.
