6:45: Jane wakes up.
7:15: Jump out of bed to shower before Baby V comes, because it’s been like 2 days. Any longer than this and I’m a greasy mess.
8:45: Baby V is here.
9:30: She naps, and shortly after G-Non gets here! She comes every Wed. a.m. and it’s the highlight of our week. She brings Caribou coffee for me and Jane is always SO excited to see her. I take advantage of them playing together to plan the menu for the food club I’m hosting on Friday.
That’s Jane’s baby wrapped up in the blanket “like a Roli Canoli”. I love seeing her take care of her babies. She’ll say in a totally exaggerated sweet voice “Ohhhh, what a sweet little baaaaaby. You want to sleep baby? Shhhh my baby sleeping!”
I am curious, do toddler boys do this too? I never encouraged her to play with dolls over any other toy and definitely did not teach her to take care of them.
Noon: G-Non leaves.
I should share the story of how she got that name. She is my grandma, so Jane’s great-grandma and before Jane was born we were debating who would be called what. My sister suggested “G-Non” as a joke, for “Great Nana” (you know, like J-Lo). My grandma said “oh don’t call me that, it sounds like G-string!”. And it stuck.
Anyway. Lunch, Baby V leaves at 1:00, I play with Jane who is sort of hyper and finally get her to nap at 2:00.
2:00 – 4:30: Jane naps, I eat lunch and lay down for awhile too.
5:30: Leave for the gym.
I hardly took any pics today because I realized over the last couple days they are all of Jane and I’m lazy and the whole week is starting to seem a little boring!
I do wish I could take a video of when I pick her up at the gym daycare though. She is so happy to be there and doesn’t mind at all when I drop her off, but when I pick her up she is SO EXCITED to see me that she runs as fast as she can with arms flailing, barely keeping her balance. It makes my day =).
7:00: Get home, say hi to Daddy, I leave shortly after to run errands. We need toilet paper, diapers, and food for my dinner on Fri. so I go to Target and Cub.
9:00: FINALLY home. Got caught up at Target trying on a couple dresses and looking through the clearance kids clothes. Shopping makes my head hurt, there are just too many choices. Even the grocery store, I couldn’t believe how many kinds of pickles there were.
10:00: Writing this, in bed, will try to sleep within the hour.
