The one part I’ve really enjoyed about pregnancy is feeling and seeing you kick. Either you’re a really active baby or I have unusually thin stomach skin, or both I guess…but when you start moving around, it can be seen from across the room even if I’m wearing a sweater. My entire midsection visibly bumps and shifts. It really amuses me and I’ve learned to push where I think your feet are to get you to move so I can show people.
In this video, I captured some mild squirming movements. You’re hard to catch on camera, but the handful of people who have seen it in person have been a little shocked.
In other news, I’m feeling great for being just a few days short of the official 8 month mark. Don’t want to jinx anything, but I have plenty of energy and have been sleeping just fine with only one bathroom break during the night (which I always did pre-pregnancy anyway).
Two things I’ve read repeatedly that are practically unavoidable during pregnancy are heartburn and constipation. I’ve had neither. Thank you to my genetics, my mostly vegan diet, or whatever is the cause of me being spared these symptoms!
Tomorrow is my baby shower, Sunday I have a really awesome surprise outing planned for Nathan’s x-mas present, and Monday we have off work.
