This week I got really excited over realizing that I’m pretty sure our due date is almost two weeks earlier than we were intially told.
Based on our ultrasound measurements July 14th, we were told the baby was 8 weeks, 4 days. This makes perfect sense with a conception date of May 16th. The first day of my last period was May 2nd.
They told us due date Feb. 19th. But this week I started counting a little more carefully and did a few calculators which all told me a due date of Feb. 6th.
That, and the nurse remarked on the early visits that she was surprised to find a hearbeat so easily “so early”. AND going by everything I’ve read, I felt movement “earlier” than most people.
So what you say? It’s only two weeks? Well that sounds like a lot earlier to me, and with depressing winter here and my back pain making it difficult to walk or even stand comfortably, early Feb. sounds much sweeter than “mid to late Feb.”
Sciatica update – I got my muscle relaxers, and being me was reluctant to take any pills after seeing the scary list of possible side effects. Besides, they make you so drowsy you’re not even supposed to drive, so I wouldn’t take them during the day when I actually need them. I took one that night just to see what happened. Nothing, I feel asleep as usual and felt normal (normal now including back pain!) in the morning. No more pills for me. I’ll save them for later recreational use.
I have a chiropractor appointment on Monday afternoon, so fingers crossed.
Here’s the week 27 pic, my new favorite outfit:
It can be dressed up or casual, layered for winter or summer, worn when I’m not pregnant anymore, and the dress has pockets! I always wear scarves, partly for added warmth and also because I wear unlined bras (or no bra) and it prevents the world from seeing my nips.
