Ahhh, week 23. Nothing much to report. My vag and nose are leaking like crazy. The vag issue is just “normal pregnancy discharge”. I don’t feel sick, but my nose alternates between super dry and prone to nosebleeds and then 30 minutes later I’m blowing out gobs of snot. This is not normal for me. Anyway, nothing too extreme, just a little annoying.
These boxers were my frivolous splurge for the week. They were $3 at old navy and have little owls saying “hoo hoo!” all over. I’m such a sucker for Halloween. But they’re super comfortable and I have no problem wearing them all year long =).
This week was the first week it was definitely too cold for skirts, putting me in a “what the hell am I supposed to wear?” crisis. Mostly for work, I’m cool with wearing yoga pants at all other times…
I don’t have any maternity pants yet so have been wearing the BeBand that my sister in law gave me when I first got pregnant. She said she wore hers right up until the end and really liked it.
My reviews are mixed. I have a really, really low tolerance for tight clothes and being uncomfortable and this thing is right on the border of what I’ll accept. It’s more comfortable than most tights (which I can’t stand and have bought in size 2XL just so the waist doesn’t pinch), but I can always tell it’s there and it’s a hassle to readjust every time I go to the bathroom.
That being said, I don’t think the Be Band would bother most people and it’s a fantastic alternative to buying maternity pants (or even if you’re not pregnant and want to wear pants that are a little too tight in the waist – this thing is like spanx for your stomach!). I’d definitely recommend trying it before buying a bunch of maternity pants.
Also, Happy Halloween! If you’re not doing anything on Sunday, Chipotle is selling anything on their menu for $2 to people who come dressed as a “scary processed food product”. All proceeds go to Jamie Oliver’s Food Revolution. Details here.
Some Chipotle locations actually offer a “Garden Blend” vegan meat substitute, otherwise as far as I know their black beans are vegan, but not the pinto beans.
