First, our belated x-mas card:
Were you naughty or nice this NYE?
We were nice. Like, first time ever staying at home and falling asleep before midnight nice. And I didn’t even mind, I guess I’m growing up…
We made dinner, talked about things to do to make this year better than last (resolutions?… including less tv, more reading, pursuing alternative sources of income…), drank good beer (Narwahl Imperial Stout), watched a little tv, zonked out.
One of the gifts Nathan gave me for x-mas was a cookbook along with a little calendar, with a promise to make a recipe of my choice every week to write down for him on the calendar. He has always been an excellent gift giver and this was no exception! Most nights we switch off bedtime duty while the other goes to the gym or goes out with friends, and end up eating a baked potato or something at 10 p.m…
So last night we made a simple yet fantastic recipe from Global Vegan Kitchen, Linguine with Sage and White Bean Sauce:
Our dinner set up by the x-mas tree:
All the decorations I inherited from my Nana that will soon be taken down:
My favorite, the Swedish angels that spin around and ding ding ding when you light the candles:
And my second favorite, the sign she cross-stitched:
Happy end of the holiday season, happy 2013 everyone.

Good card!
Haha yeah I was so excited when I finally got a good picture of “the mean face”.
I love the make a meal every week gift. That would be my dream come true to have someone cook a nice meal for me. Lucky!! I also enjoy the old candle pyramids…we have a few german ones and I hope to add to our collection every year. Flying angels with bells is very sweet! happy new year!!
Cute card! and of course, very pretty little angel you’ve got there! Happy New Year!
